Adjusting door strike plate12/13/2023 ![]() ![]() At the same time I did the replacement I had the car jacked up using the jacking point and so maybe the car has settled back in a different place? Shouldn't think so as I can stand on the door sill above the jacking point (14 stone weight) and there seems to be no play. I can't think of anything else to adjust. there is no adjustment left and the inside edge of the plate is now abutting the door frame. The striker plate is adjusted all the way in - i.e. Note this is consistent all the way down the door and if I lean against the door then it does close to a point where it fits well - but springs back against the striker hinge when I stop leaning.
